Gravenbroich Is a small working town, but is a great location as it is halfway between Düsseldorf and Cologne, but a much cheaper place for a hotel room. Direct trains every hour from Cologne Airport, or change at Neuss Fromm Düsseldorf. The town itself has a small shopping centre and the usual sort of bars and takeaways etc. It is surrounded by mainly agricultural land with pretty villages and a few historic buildingsPeterUnited Kingdom

My German is mediocre at best and he tried his best to communicate in English which was very helpful. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which had very good food especially for the price. The steaks were cooked to perfection.
