Bad Grund is in a perfect distance to the motor way and it is worth to spend the extra travel time. It is a traditional town in western Harz, where the time somehow runs slower. Everybody is really friendly and positive towards visitors. We always chat with all kind of people there.

For eggs they even offer different ways of cooking freshly. Nice decorations everywhere in the restaurant and the hotel room. Beautiful garden outside, we already plan to come back in summer time and stay here!! Worth mentioning is also the location, it’s located in a beautiful small town, where you could directly start your hike.

The guy who runs the hotel is lovely and friendly, very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, warm fresh bread rolls, fresh meat, cheese and eggs. Would love to go back here and stay for longer in the summer months!

The hotel room was super clean. Beds were comfortable and we had a good night. The free car park was convenient because it was just in front of the hotel.
